Change "Important" Color in Themes

  • That should be easy to do, perhaps in the next snapshot ? :)
    The red color used here and there should be editable, or at least should change depending on the color scheme :

    text alternatif

    text alternatif

    [modedit] added tags

  • It seems more a "bug" than a request.
    "Warning text" should be always readble and "theme safe".
    Even "boxed" with a background color.
    For cookie screen, a minor change in colorization will also help.
    But devs must choose best way to do that ;)

    This is a bug, I created a report with number VB-38068. I move this topic from Feature Requests.

  • @cheve11e_191
    This the "workaround" I'm using if anyone is still interested in it.
    It actually blends the "red" color with a "shadow" in colorFg.
    Seems to work without particular issues on any theme.

    .experiments .caution {
    	/*padding-bottom: 2px;
    	max-width: 50%;
    	font-size: 150%;*/
    	-webkit-text-stroke: 1px var(--colorFg);
    }

  • @hadden89 I think the problem is deeper than this. The color for the .caution class is #c64539. Set that color to theme background and the writing becomes invisible. Therefore a better solution would be to set it to highlight color.

    .experiments .caution {color: var(--colorHighlightBg);} is my suggested solution. I think I'm gonna implement this, never noticed it before, so thanks for that!

  • @luetage I opted for blending as on some themes even with var(--colorHighlightBg) was hard to read. There a lot of way to do that after all.

  • @hadden89 Yeah, there are obviously many solutions. But the highlight color should be readable on background, that's something you just have to assure as user. The contrast is something only we can guarantee. I mean set all 4 theme colors to the same color and most everything will be unreadable :P Besides, it's not the only place where the highlight color is being used as text, take a look at settings for a quick example.
