Aweber html editor works in Vivaldi Linux but not Vivaldi Windows



  • When using Vivaldi in Windows on the Aweber site, beginning earlier in Feb. 2018, the html editor would not open when I tried to edit a file. I get an Aweber message saying the editor will be down for a short while. It had been working fine for months before. Yet the Aweber editor works fine using Vivaldi in Linux. I've talked with Aweber about it but no fix yet. I don't know if it's on their end or on Vivaldi's end. Was wondering if it might be Flash-related. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

    I can not test Aweber editor.

    Which Vivaldi version do you use (see page vivaldi://about)?

    With 1.15 Snapshot you can use User Agent Switcher an select an other User agent (browser identification).

    1. Open Vivaldi menu File -> tools -> Extension manager
    2. Scroll down to "User-Agent Switcher for Chrome"
    3. Klick Options
    4. On page "Custom User-Agent List" add these fields:
      New User-agent name : Chrome 64
      New User-Agent String:
      Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.167 Safari/537.36
      Indicator Flag: C64
      Hit Button "Add"
    5. On page "Permanent spoof list"
      Add the aweber domain
      Select user agent 'Chrome 64' from dropdown
      Hit Button "Add"
    6. Close tab

    Visit page.
