Allow Tiling of Tabs with Window Panel
Mau last edited by jane.n
When two (or more) tabs are selected in the Window Panel the 'Tile Icon' in the status bar should be clickable. And then I should be able to tile the tabs.
(Same behaviour as if I select multiple tabs in the tab bar)
Currently when I need tab tiling I need to set the tab bar to visible again find my tabs (oh where are they again in this alternate view?) and then do my tiling.
@mau You can already do it for the selected tab from the Context Menu in the Window Panel, but that only offers vertical tiling.
Shortcuts don't work either

@pesala Oh that's nice, didn't know that!
Horizontal tiling is what I use the most though. In the tab bar you're able to specify the other tile options with the button in the status bar so I think that should be the same in the window panel.
Horizontal tiling is what I use the most though.
Me too. My primary monitor is 1200x1600 portrait. However, once you have tiled two or more tabs from the Window Panel, the shortcuts can be used to change to horizontal tiling.
It would be better to be able to use both shortcuts and the icon on tabs selected in the Window Panel, but the workaround avoids the problem of selecting tabs.

@pesala Never used the shortcuts for that before.
Or I just found out that when you tile it vertically you can use the button in the status bar to change it to tile horizontally.
Not a too pressing issue then as there are workarounds but could be a bit nicer :)
