This is like video on Facebook looks like using Vivaldi 1.14.1077.41.
-
Same result using Vivaldi.1.15.1090.3.
All fine with 1.13.1008.44. -

CheckerImaging, Multiple Raster Threads, gpu_rasterization, multiple_raster_threads, native_gpu_memory_buffers, checker_imaging are red both for Vivaldi 1.13 and 1.15.
I am now back to 1.13 and video works fine.
Also a fresh and clean 1.15 stand alone installation does not work well playing video on Facebook. -
Could it be an issue with Chromium?
This video https://www.facebook.com/vivaldi.browser/videos/vb.232078766952460/905919799568350/?type=3&theater
plays fine with- Vivaldi 1.13.x and
- Google Chrome 63.x;
It does not play with - Vivaldi 1.14.x,
- Vivaldi 1.15.x,
- Google Chrome 65.x and
- Google Chrome 66.x (Canary).

For a test:
Start Vivaldi withvivaldi.exe --disable-gpu
Not bad! With that, it works on Vivaldi and Chrome, all versions.
But don't you think disabling gpu might create problems with other websites?

- Open vivaldi://flags/#ignore-gpu-blacklist
- Switch to Enabled
- Restart Vivaldi
I started Vivaldi without disabling gpu, applied the setting and restarted. The video runs as before, but no picture, just the music. Below you can see what I get. Interestingely, when I put the mouse pointer on the progress bar, it shows a small preview.

Without disabling the GPU, video on YouTube looks like dropping a lot of frames on Vivaldi 1.14 and 1.15.
I can see video on Facebook with the GPU disabled but the pictures are white if #ignore-gpu-blacklist is enabled, as for allesimlot. -
This seems to be an issue with the latest Chromium engine.
Go to "vivaldi://flags/#disable-accelerated-video-decode", set it to "Disabled" and restart Vivaldi.
The video will play fine.

Yes, it work but not so well. With this code video lost / drop a lot of frames also on YouTube.
If Vivaldi can not resolve this problem I will move to Edge or Firefox. -
