"Report a bug" on the main menu
-
I think that it will be reasonable to add a shortcut to bug reporting system inside the main menu.
Or even add the command "report a bug" (may be hidden/disabled by default)Furthermore, it will be useful to add some extensions to for example add dumps/logs if somebody wants to.

@rotfl Agreed. The help menu is probably the right place for this.

On second thoughts, this is not a good idea. The developers might be overwhelmed with bug reports, many of which would be duplicates.
If users ask first on the forums, their recipe can be tested, and other users can advise them if a bug has already been reported.

This could be solved by showing the existing bug reports like in Debian's reportbug. This way you wouldn't have to search the forum to find out whether the bug has already been reported.

@ghpy The bug tracker is closed, and is likely to remain closed.

How about menu item for reporting website incompatibility with Vivaldi? it would be useful to autofill current tab URL in the bug report & other browser related entries, then user only need to focus on filling in the glitches & problems section.
IMO it should be easy for user to report problem to dev, that's how a good software get better overtime. And I don't think we need to worry about getting too many bug report because of this feature, because most people doesn't even know about the HELP entry in the main menu & what a "bug report" is. And then, there are a lot of people simply too lazy to make report when encounter a problem, they will simply switch to another browser.
I think the best way to reduce duplicate bug report would be post top 10 popular & recently known bugs on top section of bug report page, that way user who want to make a report can read a summary of most recent reported bugs before file a report.

It is not us who need to filter the duplicates, and weed out the useless reports. That's the developers' burden (and some volunteers). Do you really want to divert their attention from actually fixing bugs to wading through hundreds of useless reports to find the valid ones?
The regular Snapshot users here, who do know about the Bug Report form can easily manage to paste the URL of a problematic site into the bug report form.
The chances of bug-reporters reading a top ten list and finding their bug there before submitting a report are minuscule. A rough estimate is that there are about 40 bugs reported every day. Again, writing and maintaining such a shortlist of frequent bugs takes a lot of time.
