Undo - Would like to restore accidentially closed tabs
-
Topic says it all. Would be nice to to ctrl+z to restore last closed tab(s)

Both Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+T work in Developer Build v1.0.129.2.
(I haven't yet installed Developer Build v.1.0.135.2 released yesterday, but presumably both will work there also.)
-
I use 1.0.135.2 and it does not work. However, it works perfect in my old Opera 12.7
-
i have 135 (32bit, on win 7) and both shortcuts work as expected

I solved by resetting the profililo.
PS: Opera 12.7?!?! I want it too!

PS: Opera 12.7?!?! I want it too!
Here you are
ftp://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/win/1217/
It's a win only security update (mac and linux were unaffected by the fixed problem).

Ah, ok…
I missed the typo, then the houmor is obvious...
BTW he can install, side by side, Opera 6.03 +Opera 6.04 = Opera 12.07

Ctrl Z does restore tabs and I hate it, I will say it again. I hate it.
Ctrl-Z is used absolutely in all softwares, at least on Windows to undo typing when you made a mistake. This is so in absolutely all the softwares I used for years, its like using Ctrl-C to copy and Ctrl-V to paste. You just assume this will work everywhere.
Not with Vivaldi. When I hit Ctrl-Z because I made a typo or just want to undo the text, it restores a tab and sends me there instead of undoing the text I typed. At the same time Vivaldi also undoes the text, but I have now to close the restored tab and go back to the text box where I was typing. So when you hit Ctrl-Z Vivaldi is doing both things at the same time and I consider this a huge flaw.
Vivaldi is trying to use the same shortcuts for several things in different parts of the browser and not just with Ctrl-Z and after weeks they should have realized this approach does not work. Use a specific shortcut and stick to it.

That was a known bug which was fixed on an earlier but looks like is back again on the latest one.
BTW I agree some shortcuts should be more logical even if breaking some accepted conventions.
Say CTRL+T to open a tab, ALT+T to close it, CTRL+W to open a new window, ALT+T to close it, CTRL+U to undo something, ALT+U to redo something, and so on…
Letting CTRL+Z,C,X,V managed by the OS to their usual functions.

Opera 12 has the best of both worlds: it does reopen the closed tab if that's your last action in the undo chain, but the undo chain is interrupted when focus is in a textfield and you interacted with it. In that case multiple CTRL+Z will not propagate to reopening the last closed tab.
CTRL+Z is not an OS-level shortcut by the way. It is application specific.

@terere: Others have already mentioned that when the focus is in any text box, Ctrl+Z opening the last closed tab is a Vivaldi bug, and it should instead work the way you expect. I guess I've been assuming it would eventually be fixed, along with another (even more aggravating, IMO) bug of Ctrl+BackArrow or Ctrl+ForwardArrow going forward and back in the tab history (if there is forward or back tab history), instead of forward or back one word in the focused text box or in the Address Bar.
I'm really enjoying getting acquainted with Vivaldi, but in less than one week on board, I already couldn't possibly count the number of times an automatic Ctrl+BackArrow while editing a forum post here has taken me to the previous page. (Fortunately, either Vivaldi or the forum software save my post draft so it's still there when I go forward again, or I would find Vivaldi simply impossible for posting in the Vivaldi forum.)

I use Opera from 2000, and i will use it again until Vivaldi will be ready.
