Solved Customize Rocker Gestures
-
@Seasonly said in Customize Rocker Gestures:
I don't use current Vivaldi rocker gestures for historic. I prefer classic mouse gestures, it's more natural. But this should be an user's choice. In other browsers it is.
Rocker gestures can be disabled without disabling standard gestures.
They should be used to expand / collapse folders in the Bookmarks Panel as in Opera 12.18, but they are currently not context-sensitive. They only perform History Back / History Forward.

@Pesala
Rocker gestures on or off in current vivaldi status, it's not annoying to me. I don't use them. But combinations with mouse is quite few, so getting current rocker gestures (which are of course the more usual) to trig other command could be interesting.You have your idea for using them. I have mine. Other probably have others ones... This should be only and really an user's choice ! More it depends how currently your mouse gestures are setup...
I understand that not context-sensitive rocker gesture lets us a poor solution.
For me, I probably would use them (as I do currently on firefox with foxygesture and a bit of javascript)) to add more feature to link click behavior. Adding beside Double-click a Link to Open a Tab in the Foreground, I use left+right mouse button to get link into a popup window (a new special window) to continue browsering without changing parent web page and getting back (and in mind) this parent window.

The new command chain feature is calling for freeing rocker gestures, specialy to react onto link!

In the Latest Snapshot it is possible to edit Rocker Gestures. The feature is not listed in the changelog because it is still buggy, but you can now try it in Settings, Mouse, Rocker Gestures.

@Pesala Yes, but i can not get the default for LMB and RMB back. Still in progress, i guess thats why not listed in changelog.
