Vivaldi doesn't open new tabs from JS when openeing tab is in background?
I have a script on a wbsite that is crawling for interesting news and opens them in a new tab.
After the update today ist doesn't work any more. The script finds and lists the news. But the news don't get opened in a new tab.
Has something about popup-blocking changed?
I assume, the new tabs won't get opened when the opening tab is in background?

@brush Without being able to see the script, it would be hard to say. What call are you using to open new tabs?
This is the call, that opens the window:
When I put that into the dev-tools-console, it opens the tab. But not in the script any more. Yesterday and all the years before yesterday it worked well.
Today i updated to the latest vivaldi-version. And since today it does not work any more.
Please give us a real testcase not only a code snippet!
Try this minimal script. It dowesn't open any new tabs.
console.log("opening new tab");
But not in the script any more.
Popup blocker? Popups are blocked by Default.
Change it by clicking on lock/globe in address field and change Site Settings.
Or add exception at chrome://settings/content/popups
Disabling Popup-Blocker for my site did the trick. Thanks.
