1.14.1077.3 - Closing bookmarks bar from menu crashes Vivaldi
Rexfahrer last edited by Gwen-Dragon
I think, I have found a bug and I would be very happy if someone could confirm that this problem is not only occurring to me:
- Enable the bookmarks bar.
- Try to close it via Vivaldi Menu-> View-> Untick "Show Bookmarks Bar"
Result: Vivaldi's UI gets unresponsive, the RAM usage of the Background Page process climbs up to ca. 4 GiB and then Vivaldi crashes.
My System: Vivaldi 1.14.1077.3 (Official Build) (64-bit), Windows 7

this looks like an old bug, either unresolved or a regression
Unfixed old bug.
You can use Ctrl+Shift+B to show or hide the bar.

Thanks to both of you. I did search for existing threads about this bug, but obviously not far enough in the past
But this is no problem for me, because I usually do not use the bookmarks bar. I accidentally selected the wrong entry when I wanted to hide the status bar.
