Auto try http and https

Is there a way to change the address bar so that it automatically tries http and https when you enter something? Sometimes it seems to do that but most of the time it does not. I have not been able to find a way to change the behavior and all my searches seem to be too generic as they are not coming up with any info. Loving the browser but this simple change, along with sync when it comes out will seal the deal for me. I'll probably stick with Vivaldi anyway but those 2 things will be nice touches for sure. I'm seeing that syncing is coming soon so looking forward to that!
Normally Vivaldi uses
http://if you do not enter
If a page has a redirect to SSL Vivaldi may remember this if the server tells the browser to prefer SSL and use it next time.
You may use extension HTTPS Everywhere to force to SSL for the sites you need.
