Hi. I want to love Vivaldi.
-
I love the look and feel already. But not being able to find the bookmarks which it tells me it has imported is driving me away fast. So.....any suggestions?
-
@eusabius They will usually be in the Bookmarks Panel in a folder named "Imported from Firefox" (or whatever). You can drag and drop the contained folders to bring them up to the root, and select a folder or folders to show on the Bookmarks Bar or in Speed Dial.
-
@eusabius Look on your bookmarks page?
vivaldi://bookmarks/
They are probably in a folder called "imported". If you don't provide any additional info, there isn't much more to say really. -
The same problem, I can't import bookmarks from Firefox. Vivaldi says that the bookmarks have been imported, but I don't see them.
-
@longvoid Try exporting them from Firefox to an HTML file and then import that HTML file.
-
@longvoid Which version of Firefox, which version of Vivaldi?
As you can see in my screenshot, I was able to import them from Firefox 57.
Specs: AMD A10-6800K, 8 Gb on Win 10 64-bit • Snapshot 1.14.1064.3 (64-bit)

Yeah, it works fine.

As you can see in my screenshot, I was able to import them from Firefox 50.

Vivaldi 1.13.1008.40,
That's the latest final version. There is no reason that I know of why Firefox Bookmarks won't import. If the dialogue says it was successful, then the "Imported from Firefox" folder should be there.
I just installed 1.13.1008.40 to test it, and it worked as expected.
