Small improvements

  • My small idea. When playing multimedia contents at page tab is showing small speaker icon. Is possible doing this icon active, I means, if I click this icon I mute all multimedia contents at current page. Thanks

  • yeahhh do an icon useful

  • Oh, how I'd like to see "multimedia-compatible" tab or window context menus! Unfortunately I don't think that's possible, or Chrome would probably have that already (since both YouTube and Chrome are Google's, I'd say they're integrating both as much as possible).

Still: +1. Would definitely like to have that feature.

I must second that. +1 as well. very useful! also RMB on tab which is playing some sound could include in content menu "mute" and "unmute".

Mute icon should NOT disappear just get crossed visually since it just mute the tab. Not stop playing the sound.

  • This could be where Vivaldi's multi-process nature comes in handy - by allowing you to mute one tab without muting the whole browser.

  • As it happens, this is a hidden feature in chrome already:

    chrome://flags/#enable-tab-audio-muting

    http://fieldguide.gizmodo.com/mute-noisy-tabs-in-google-chrome-1683215637

If I weren't on a public computer I'd be tempted to see if this worked in Vivaldi's Chromium base (I don't know enough about software to understand if that's a silly idea).

  • I went back and checked: the option is there but it doesn't work when enabled. Hopefully this gets re-engineered to work in Vivaldi.
