Open link in new background tab

I kind of miss this option when right-clicking on a link, first used this feature in an old Opera build (don't know which one, but it was pre 12.xx), and all other browsers seem to have it or to just open new tabs in the background. I know you can use ctrl+LMB, but sometimes you only use the mouse for browsing. Other than that I was very happy when you released the first Vivaldi Tech preview and its gradually becoming my preferred browser

Middle button.
-
Or Ctrl+Click
-
I know there are other ways to do it, even mentioned one the first post , but when using a touchscreen i.e. both of those are not possible, making opening multiple tabs from, say, a news site and going back after each tab a little of a bother.

When using laptop's touchpad you don't have middle button.

Good laptops like thinkpads or dell e series have it.
Anywhay, it's easy to emulate it with an utility like this in windows.
In linux the third button emulation is done at OS level.
The Vivaldi menu will surely came, but the third button emulation is still worth because it's useful in any tabbed SW. Say notepad++

I would also like this as a Right-Click context-menu option, as that is the habit I've been in for years.
But I appreciate the reminder that Ctrl+LMB (i.e., Ctrl+Click) will do the same thing. …Now if I can just re-learn the habit

habits are habits, but middle click works since the stone age in opera, and since the WW2 in the other browsers and tabbed programs.
CTRL+click was a standard Macos workaround given the poor single button mice bundled with Apple products for decades.
So it worked in Opera too

Yes, I too need this in the context menu. My left hand is paralyzed, so I can't ctrl+click and my laptop touchpad only have two buttons., no middle.

Not a solution but surely a workaround worth to try.
