Tracking Cookies

For a couple of weeks I had Maxthon 5 as my default browser, regular checks with SUPERAntiSpyware didn't produce any tracking cookies. I've now returned to Vivaldi and within 24 hours I've gathered 19.
I have the 'Block Third Party Cookies' checked in 'Privacy'.
You can't even block third party cookies in Maxthon now and yet I'm attracting them in Vivaldi!
This is puzzling.

I also use Super Anti Spywre, but I have not found Tracking cookies for almost a year, since I use Adblock Genesis Plus (it's an improved uBlock Origin)
Apart from this I have disabled WebRTC and reject Third party cookies.
Search engine Startpage,, Quad9 DNSRegarding Maxthon, which is not a bad browser, but be careful

Adblock Genesis Plus looks interesting. I'll consider disabling Web RTC in Vivaldi. I'm not buying into all of the FUD about Maxthon, I think Jeff Chen's on the level. I'm not saying I trust them totally though lol.

I use extension 'Privacy Badger' and 'uBlock Origin' and 'uBlock Origin Extra' to block tracking, disabled Third Party Cookies and WebRTC.
And did not install Flash Player.
And i do not use Google for search. They all sound like wise precautions. I use them all except for Privacy Badger. I do use flash though. My default search engine is Start Page and has been for a while. I'll check my cookies in a bit lol.
Is there any downside to disabling Web RTC?
Thanks.

Thanks, I found it a little earlier. I was just wondering what disabling it actually does.
I just ran a scan with SAS and no tracking cookies! So, something's working lol.

If you want to do a somewhat deeper scan than with the SAS, the best antimalware I know is the RogueKiller, (even better than Malwarebytes).
This removes all the PUB and PUM that you can have.
The free version is sufficient, it is just as efficient as the paid one, but naturally with restrictions regarding configuration and programming, This means, to use when you do not use the PC for a while, because you can only do a full scan with the free version (>1h) -
For my Mac, I use the following extensions in Vivaldi:
- uBlock Origin
- NoScript (!)
- Random User Agent
- Referer Control
WebRTC is disabled, cookies are only saved as for the session and 3rd party cookies are disabled. (I do, however, let Vivaldi store my web logins). Default search engine is StartPage.
In addition to that, I have a list based DNS blocking system on my router, so most of the "well-known" ad and tracking domains are blocked in my whole LAN (especially important for mobile devices...)

I used to run MBAM on Windows but found that it gave too many false-positives. I just ran a full SAS scan and still no tracking cookies, so I'm OK at the moment.
It's a pity that SpywareBlaster doesn't recognise Vivaldi.

I used to run Vivaldi on Ubuntu so naturally any anti-tracking had to be through browser settings or extensions.

@davaldi Not necessarily.
As I wrote above, I use a DNS based blocking method on the router, which covers all network devices, even mobile phones and IoT appliances.
An example of such systems might be pihole (pi-hole.net) or unbound; I did it with a modified bind configuration.
The listed extensions should (?) also work on Ubuntu.

Thanks, I'll have to look into that.
