Bug - Pop-Up Notification enroll (Private Window)

  • Hello,
I do not know what is a proper place for placing bug report but I will do it here because I did not find a better topic in a forum.
In Anonymous Mode, where a classical pop-up window appears saying "Website xxxx would like to show notifications" and you could Allow or Deny. Those buttons are not working, you cannot do with the message anything at all.

    My Vivaldi Version:
    Vivaldi 1.13.1008.32 (Stable channel) (32-bit)
    Revision 77adcb151ed0cb55bbef3bdf776c8338b651ebaf-
    OS Windows

    Confirmed. Please report the bug.

How to do a bug report for Vivaldi

Report each bug separately at https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/
Describe the issue as precise as you can.
Add some information about extensions you use.
Add information about the operating system and version you use.
Add some information which security tools you use.
If you have problems with video or audio give us information about your installed codecs and graphics
    card/GPU.
Add a exact link to the page where the issue comes up and can be tested.
After reporting the issue, you will receive a confirmation mail from the bugtracker.
In a reply to this mail you can add more information and files (like screenshots or testcases) as
attachments and it will be added automatically to bug report.

If you have questions about the bug please ask in forum first and do not forget to post the VB-XXXXX
bug number (you can find it in confirmation mail).

Thanks in advance for helping us to make Vivaldi better!

  • To whom it may concern, out of curiosity, what should it do? That is, in Private mode, should notification messages even appear, should the buttons be disabled, or what?

  • I have used 'Private' in all my test browsers, as I learn them. The only URL that ever has shown me such a Pop-Up was with Sprint [the cell phone company], who...Private or not...want to know where I am, to see what of their services is available in my area.
