Unwanted page at start up
I've noticed that occasionally when I start Vivaldi a tab displays showing an ad. It appears to be a random advertisement and doesn't always occur. I have the browser open a blank page so I don't know where this is coming from. Once in awhile it happens on Windows 10 too. I am using the latest snapshot and am on Mint 18.3 Cinnamon. I don't know if it is Vivaldi generating the ad or an extension.
I'm sorry - I have AdBlock Plus, Canvas Defender, Click&Clean, Close Tab in Context Menu, Disconnect, HTTPS Everywhere, No Squint Plus, Privacy Badger, Roboform, UBlock Origin, Umatrix, and Undo Close Tab. The site URL is usually of the form "http://adplexmedia.adk2x.com/imp?p=74575529&ct=html&ap=1304&iss=0&f=0" which gets blocked by uBO.
just google for it, it seems you got hijacked. Getting malware on linux, priceless. (fnarr fnarr)
I think one of your extensions has been sold by the author and inserts ad now.
It is probably a highjacker, run AdwCleaner, it solve it
Hi, does this happen if you start a private window too?
May one of your extensions is occupied but just guessing.
I have only uBlock origin and agent switcher extension.

EDIT: Strange, I don´t saw the two posts above before I post ??
Would be a extension.
At the other hand,
in windows, some infections edits the browsers shortcuts adding random sites to run at the start.
Depending on how the browser starts it would happen always or sometimes.
Don't know if that would happen for Linux too, try checking the browser shortcut properties.
