"Invasion" of other local forums
-
Hi, from time to time I get local forum information in "Unread" even if I already mark them as ignored.
For example today I got a new thread from the Spanish in "Unread".
Iirc it is since a few weeks.
It is not a big problem, I have to open the thread and mark it as ignored again.
Does anybody have the same problem?Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin I have also experienced this. I think this is happening:
- You mark a local forum as ignored
- Posts here are not shown in your feed
- someone makes a post to a *sub-*forum of the one you ignored
- You will see sub-forum posts unless you ignore that sub-forum as well
I'm not sure what the intended behaviour is here, but for now the best thing to do is to manually ignore each sub-forum as well as the parent.

It is also sometimes interesting to take a look at the localforums. In the Spanish for example there is today a user with a severe problem and apparently no one has listened to her since she first posted a few days ago about the problem of a corrupt installation that prevents her from using and updating Vivaldi , where I already tried to help, although I have not enough knowledge of the subject.

@mib2berlin I have also seen this. I believe it is caused by the creation of new sub-forums - "Bug Report", "Archives" etc.
These new forums are being automatically set as "Watching".
I just go through and mark as ignoring for the ones I am not interested in. -

And yeah, if a new subforum is being created somewhere, you have to ignore it specifically. As said in the other thread, we should be able to set all sub-forums to ignore from its main forum -- e.g. local forums. There is a button for this but it doesn't work as intended.

Thank you all for the information.
I will do it step by step instead of going to ignore 40+ sub-forums.Cheers, mib
