"Window Panel" !!! i still can't believe one of my 2 pet peeves with vivaldi has been fixed! i'm in tears of joy.. now only what's left is bookmark syncing and Vivaldi will be the perfect browser!
That does not stop me from using it as my one and only browser for months now on linux and windows. I'd like to take the opportunity to thank you for making browsing the web bearable again!

Hi. I have still issues with installation Vivaldi (any version) on Linux OpenMandriva LX 3. I use RPM snaphsot or stable but still GUI urpmi installer gives me error without any details and urpmi in konsole gives me error:
"Installation failed: vivaldi-unstable conflicts with vivaldi-snapshot-1.13.1008.30-1.x86_64
error while checking dependencies"This with stable version:
"installing vivaldi-stable-1.13.1008.32-1.x86_64.rpm from /home/x/Pobrane
Installation failed: vivaldi-beta conflicts with vivaldi-stable-1.13.1008.32-1.x86_64
error while checking dependencies"I try remove all vivaldi packages and install latest available but still I have this issue.
When I report issue to OpenMandriva bugzilla they closed it as not a distro bug but from what I see one other user have also same issue. Here details: https://issues.openmandriva.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2097Worth to add when we try on vivaldi packages this command:
"rpm -qp --provides /home/x/Pobrane/vivaldi-stable-1.13.1008.32-1.x86_64.rpm
vivaldi-beta = 1.13.1008.32
vivaldi-stable = 1.13.1008.32-1
vivaldi-stable(x86-64) = 1.13.1008.32-1
"
so as you can see this can be packing issue. Can u look at this again?BTW. great job with Vivaldi 1.13 Thanks all.

The Window Panel looks wonderful. So, I'm wondering whether the tab bar is now redundant. Or is there some useful distinction so that one wants to keep both?
I've just hidden the tab bar. I'll see what will happen. . . .

The panels take a lot more screen real-estate, especially if users have the tabs at the top using the Windows title bar space that is otherwise wasted.

Excellent release there! Thank you. Frankly didnt encounter any bugs when I was on 1.13 snapshots but prefer red Vivaldi icons for some reason.
Any reason why Vivaldi splash is still there on stable build? I thought it was introduced in 1.13 snapshots to explicitly say its a snapshot.

Great update! Big update with nice implements! Thank you all the great dev team and you too mr Tetzchner

Yup, same as previous comments, excellent work, very impressed with notes panel.
-
Thanks so much! I love the new Window Panel and will get a lot of use out of it.

What about sessions management in windows panel? I use sessions very often but doing it from menu it's not very comfortable.

@apiekarczyk Post in the Feature Requests thread

The best browser to date!

This doesn't really answer his question.
Yes it does. Since it is not yet available in the Windows Panel the only thing to do is make a feature request for it.
-
@mau If you have the Tab Bar enabled it takes no extra space than not having it enabled. Opening the side panel takes a lot of space. If you want more feature to save sessions from the panel then post in the feature requests thread.

@gwen-dragon: I completely agree. First that I never saw tab stacks renaming works to me, despite all my trials. And of course the feature of dragging tabs to reorganize them, what is doable but not practical at all when you have a lot of tabs and stacks and their width is minimum to get them with mouse cursor...
I hope the latter can be still improved but with Window Panel the job became very easy to manage.

Simulate browser restart is completely broken. This was an issue in the snapshots as well. It doesn't restart at all and worse yet, it renders the menu button, window control buttons and the right click menu completely unusable (they do not respond).

Also, why was the "Add new speed dial folder " button removed from the speed dial (nav bar)? Now it takes more steps to do this.

@gwen-dragon: Thanks.
