Email refuses to send or receive anything



  • So I set up the email account. I can log in. The name is as requested, but it refuses to send out anything. Meanwhile, going to an outside email account to test sending into the new account. Same refusal.
    And Yes, I did the confirmation after set up. Are there restrictions over account names or other gotchas not apparent at set up?

    I just "sent" again from outside alien email account. That system "sends" it okay, but the Vivaldi Servers protest with this. My read is that Vivaldi does not like the email address it allowed me to set up:

  • Can confirm sending to your address fails.
    Unfortunately -88- is a invalid mailaddress for the server.
    But as RFC822 mail standard is is allowed.

    Server admin and webmaster of vivaldi.net will investigate tomorrow.

  • Let us wait what is to be done my the webadmin to get this fixed.
