So Quantum is slower than Vivaldi, just like the olf Firefoxes...
-
I use Vivaldi and as a second I have the Quantum. I know at first hand that the last of Mozilla is somewhat faster than the previous ones, but it is still far from Vivaldi's performance in speed
-
In the Jet Stream Benchmark Firefox (Clean) had a better result as Vivaldi (all extensions and open 10 tabs)
http://browserbench.org/JetStream/
But in this one, under the same conditions, Vivaldi is better than everyone else

Well, I never use IE other than for visiting MS update page back then. But, why test it to compare with current Quantum & Blink? IE Trident is dead project. Beside, MS never really tune up their engine ever since version 6?
How'a Edge EdgeHTML? I stop at Win7 (move to Linux as main) so I will never know.Edge is a little better, but also menor than 400 points in this test.
But yes, I use that thing in a new computer only one time for download a browser -
@minegroasprilla What's the point? Vivaldi's main focus isn't speed – and it's dependent on Chromium anyway, just like Opera.
-
Although Vivaldi may not be the fastest navigator of all, it replaces it with a lot of power for its functionality and handling possibilities that all the others lack
-
@catweazle Don't forget. The last Vivaldi version is 1.15 - They will wait and see.
-
@minegroasprilla I'm sure Vivaldi does tests internally, but they haven't shared results with the community. Everything on this page is completely unofficial. One test from a single setup doesn't say too much anyway. I doubt Vivaldi is "faster" than any of these browsers (FF, Chr, OPR).

A new test build is released from Monday to Friday and sometimes we got an extra build on the same day. Vivaldi team (volunteers as well) work hard before releasing a public Snapshot.

Not really. What about the Snapshots?
-
@lamarca I should have formulated this clearer. I'm not talking about the snapshot or internal test builds, but about benchmark/speed tests comparing Vivaldi with other browsers.
-
@luetage My two cents, you are here.
Interesting the HTML5test posted by @Catweazle
Is that one new for you all? http://hpr.dogphilosophy.net/test/

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you want to say with this.
-
@lamarca Why are you downvoting me now? I don't understand what your issue is.

I just ran this audiotest and all the formats work well for me, except this format with extension .caf,

You got the warning "Does not support"?
On *.wav - "It should, but it might not" - plays fine for me. -

On *.wav - "It should, but it might not" - plays fine for me.All formats, regardless of what the comment says, work perfectly only the last one with .caf format does not sound
-
@catweazle Did you send the report to the site?
I did. -
Yes, of course, although it is not such a serious thing either. Where is this format used that is completely unknown to me?
So far I had no problems on any page regarding the sound
