Installing in Opensuse 13.2 (Harlequin) (i586) x84 - 32bit
-
Hi,
I downloaded vivaldi some time ago and tried to install in Opensuse 13.2 i586 with zypper install vivaldi-stable-1.12.955.38-1.i386.rpm, but it complained about nothing provides libssl3.so(NSS_3.28).
So, I first installed qfsm-0.54.0-1.i586.rpm that helped solving it.
For anyone this might help.

qfsm
While it does help. Why
qfsm
? That's the graphical package, isn't it?
Checkqfsm
dependency packages. I believe it's one of them who providelibssl3.so
. I check OpenSuseqfsm
package content list from the net, that library not from here. I suspect that package suppose to named aroundnss
orssl
I never used RPM based since 1998, especially ever try OpenSuse. Don't know how to do package content search in that distro.

You need mozilla-nss… package!

Opensuse stopped support for 13.2 ages ago. You should probably update your distro.

Agree with @petev . For @jimmyz : fyi, i use Tumbleweed & it, + Vivaldi [Snapshot & Stable] within it, works really well. Or if you still like oS but don't want rolling-release, try Leap 42.3.

13.2 is the last i586 of Opensuse. I don't bother spending time on it, it's an old netbook, used only for configuring routers by logging into their web interface.

Why qfsm?
It didn't ask for any other dependencies! And it provides
libssl3.so
.

I have Debian 8 on my 32bit Atom CPU netbook (MSI 110).
And there are some lightweight Linuxes for old 32bit i586 laptops/netbooks.
https://www.codedonut.com/linux/turn-old-netbook-linux-machine/But everyone have own likes-and-dislikes on Linux distries. May be theer is a strong need for Suse 13.2 Linux.

Tumbleweed still does 32 bit.
