Vivaldi crashes and needs to be restarted when using external link
I'd like to ask for help. I use Vivaldi 1.12.955.42, but the problem was related for previous versions too. When I click link from external application, e.g. link in jabber client, links for update in several applications like VirtualBox or WinSCP, Vivaldi crashes and displays this message:
Roughly translated as "Vivaldi doesn't respond. Restart?" Messages to reload plugins are displayed too.
The cause is not deterministic, sometimes Vivaldi works for hours, sometimes crash occurs after several minutes.
I looked into "C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\Crashpad\reports" for logs or some clue, but this folder is empty.
I'd like to ask, if there is another location to find logs about crash, or if there is solution for this problem.
Just additional info:
OS: Win 10 with Fall Creators Update
Installed plugins: HTTPS Everywhere, AddBlockPlus, Chrono Download Manager.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help.
Soem extensions may crash Vivaldi.
Try patched 1.12 stable:
.42 can easily bug, they made a quick fix this weekend
try to update it first.
Thanks for your suggestions, I'll try above mentioned version, but as I wrote in the post, the problem occurs for several weeks now. It is not related to current version.
Does it crash without extensions? Then one of you extensions fails Vivaldi.
