@zikkeratak
This post may clarify.
https://vivaldi.com/blog/snapshots/window-panel-and-file-download-improvements-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-1-13-997-3/Seems the build is not included in autoupdates.

Some versions of Linux can update Vivaldi. The install package attempts to add Vivaldi's repository as a source to your package manager, so that updates can come through your regular system update checks. This should work on Ubuntu and on OpenSUSE, but doesn't work on my own Mageia. Mind you, as the previous poster said, this latest version was considered too experimental and thus is not actually on the update servers. But if the next snapshot is better you may find that one in your system updates.

@sgunhouse yeah, is not about this build only, its been forever i have to manually update cause is not showing in ubuntu update system
-
@zikkeratak The repositories notify me of Vivaldi updates (both Stable and Snapshots) in Mint16 and Mint18. Wonder why not for you?
-
@ayespy
The latest snapshot that can be downloaded from https://vivaldi.com/blog/snapshots/ has not been added to the repository.
Quote from @ruarioSnapshots are made for testing new features and fixes, but we never guarantee that they are stable. However, we are aware that a number of you use the Snapshots as your primary browser – hey, we do it ourselves! Since this build has a few fairly serious problems, we have decided not to enable autoupdate this time. Have a look at the “Known Issues” (below) and decide for yourself if you want to install this Snapshot or wait for a future one. If you do want to use it, simply download and install it manually to upgrade from the previous build.

@cantankrus But that only accounts for the last two snaphsots. Not for "...not about this build only, its been forever..." It's known that the last two updates for Snapshot and the most recent update for Stable have not had auto-update enabled for safety reasons.
What's not known is why user would have no updates on Ubuntu "forever."

Maybe this?

@zikkeratak
Doesn't show in your sources?
software-properties-gtk --open-tab 1
May need to be enabled or you can add using the URI http://repo.vivaldi.com/snapshot/deb/ as in pic. -
Thanx everyone, the issue was that in software sources vivaldi snap shot was disable.
