Cleaning up threads
-
(I couldn't post in Forum FR subcategory so it's technically in the wrong section. Sorry for that.)
Remove edited-blank posts - usually off-topics, spam or posted by mistake - and spam discussions from the forum flow.
It's not nice to see a lot of "removed" in most forum sections
And they take a lot of space. -
I think the moderators may have the ability to purge threads.
-
@pesala It could be, but they should do it only if the team agree about that.

@hadden89 Whut? How did empty posts from me get into the Italian local forum?

Screen was taken from feature request, not local forum (empty posts don't happen often there)
-
@hadden89 Can you link me to the actual post so that I can see what it really is and how it got there?

Page where screen was taken. Not an issue at all, but better purge all of them when possible - empty and spams discussions

@hadden89 Pages 28-33 of the FQ thread all have deleted posts.
-
@hadden89 OK. Those are deleted posts. They should not be visible to any user without Mod privileges at all. I will notify our web dev to fix this.
Periodically, some deleted posts are purged by the community managers, and after that is done they cannot be restored. A deleted post which CAN be restored should be completely invisible (no sign it was ever there) to an ordinary user.
Thanks for the heads-up.

I notice three of those said they had replies... I'd presume they are a continuous thread (each a reply to the previous). Not certain but that could be related.

@sgunhouse Thanks for the feedback. I have directed the WebDev to this thread, so all comments here will come to his attention.
