Html 5 audio and video not playing.
-
I am not sure what the cause of this sudden change is.
Any help would be appreciated. -
URL of video?
Do you use extensions?
Os version? -

They're working on streams problems.
But if you find a not working video post a link to test and if confirmed is better do a report also.
Honestly, I don't take these tests seriously. On my pc score is 518 (with a bunch of extensions on) and almost any video plays - but probably with newer chromium engine and next fixes will improve. -
It's all html 5 video's, I use extensions, my OS is windows 10.
All bandcamp stream links don't work either, I'm guessing they re bound by html 5 but I'm not 100% on that.
example youtube link that doesnt work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfKP7Knh7CM

@ffs-freestyle that YT video plays for me but I'm on win7 and using Vivaldi 1.13.971.8, seems a win10 problem if anything
-
It plays also on win10 but I'm on 1.12 (first) vivaldi stable (see video and hear audio).
What extensions are you using? Probably, one is messing with yt videos. -
Is there some way I can 'print' plaintext with my extensions on there? I could list them seperatly as well ofc.

@ffs-freestyle
Ctrl-Shift-E
Ctrl-A
Ctrl-C
open a txt
Ctrl-V
done
Alternatively I have a Python script to list all extensions in Vivaldi, Chrome and Opera if they're found. -
Thanks for all the replies guys :).
I opened a private window and tried the link. Didn't work either.

Here it is if anyone wants to try it -
I found out how this began: it was indeed an update of Windows, I thought I would try out the windows insider program.
This is how it broke. , Misery is it seems harder to get out of the insider dl schedule then to get in, but at least for now I can listen to bandcamp streams again! Thanks to everyone who replied and helped ^^

deja vu (I use win10 since rtm)

Yes, while you can remove a feature update (major release) within 10 days, it's not always easy change the ring/branch expecially if you are in insider rings (which is not a good on a main machine - expecially as vivaldi is tested in current branch, I guess.
This is how it broke.
Yeah, sometimes delete (or delay) a latest kb helps.
-
@ffs-freestyle Heh. It's smart to run insider editions on a machine you don't have to rely on.
Back before Win10 was released, I signed up to be an "insider." I installed Wndows 10 "insider edition" on an old Sony laptop. After one particular update, it was bricked. Would not boot. I researched the problem and learned a certain keyboard driver was causing this on some machines. I literally had to remove the HDD and slave it to another machine, navigate to the offending driver and delete it, to get my machine back. Then for several more updates, the only way to turn the machine off was to remove the battery. The thrills and chills of being a privileged tester of a system that's not ready for prime time. -
@ayespy Yeah, reasons I'm using "business branch" updates (CBB). But even delay any feature update for 30-60 days is a good idea if not on Win10 pro edition. Just to avoid possible issues.
I have a fast ring VM and it works quite bad, so probably I'm going to remove that (or testing slow ring in it) -

@hlehyaric I plan to add some links digging into my V bookmarks
