Missing emoji keyboard shortcut keeps me from using this browser as my professional workspace
… and I’m not even kidding. Emoji are an essential part of my online communication. They're not a fun feature, but part of the language.
Being blocked from using my macOS keyboard shortcut to pull up emoji and insert them is the major blocker for me to keep using this browser as my professional workspace.
Is this even on the roadmap?
@cas Which shortcut do you use for that?
What happens if you press it?
If a Vivaldi function executes instead of the expected OS shortcut function, you might try to go into the Vivaldi Keyboard settings and change the clashing shortcut to something different.
(Don't know if it helps on 🍏 because I don't have an 🍎 but it worked for me on other systems)
🙇 <- I have no clue what it means, but it looks funny.
@QuHno Cmd + Ctrl + Space
PS: this is the person bowing deeply emoji.
I can live without them (keep cp and paste them) but it's also an issue for me.
I put a feature request for that one into the thread: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/20968/feature-requests-for-1-13/510
@quhno It’s control+command+space all over my Mac. When I use it in Vivaldi, it doesn't do anything.
Thanks for the heads-up with keyboard settings, I checked them.
Not a solution, but a workaround is emoji insertion from another source. For example an Alfred workflow
Or, always as a workaround, you could try an extension
