Image properties should open in a dialog
-
The good: Great that we have image properties now.
The bad: I don't want to see the image, I just want to see its properties.
The ugly: it opens in another tab (so that it shows the image) rather than showing me a popup with the properties featuring easy to copy fields.Verdict: I love you but the feature needs improvement.

Maybe in the future we will have two options, how it behaves now ...
And how this extension : Image Size Info -
I thought the idea was to replace the need for extensions...
The current implementation, IMHO, is equally clumsy to asking me to open the Inspect developer tools window to get image properties. Opening a new tab for a dialog that should consist of a few fields is overkill.
Plus, it offers very little information of use. Instead, most of the space is wasted by a redundant showing of the same image.

I agree, even not using that feature i think this need to open at a newdialog box or popup or any thing out of a new tab.

I agree, so I just added this to the right place:

Image Properties as a Dialogue

'Image properties' is currently the same as using the menu item 'Open Image in New Tab' and clicking the info button on top right. It basically just automates a single click.

@pesala thank you. I was actually looking for that thread but I didn't find it so I thought the "tradition" with these threads was discontinued.

hello Axxon
luetage refers to " the info button on top right."
That circle with letter i is in the way. it encroaches the image that is being displayed for enjoyment ... until that infocircle is tattooed onto it. is there a setting to disappear that upper right corner i?
