Privacy issue with IndexedDB revealed!
german IT news giant heise (c't) reports that vivaldi fails in the same way as firefox does when it comes to deleting IndexedDB data when user request 'deleting private data'. surprisingly, chrome (and opera) clear the IndexedDB alright, according to the article.
IndexedDB is the way websites store and read local data, a browser build-in super-cookie system. not being able to clear this data globaly is an embarrassing disaster for vivaldi which claims to take privacy serious.
@captaind This very matter is being worked on as we speak. It has been under discussion back stage for a while now.
Thats why if I visit weather.com and add different locations and clear the history, all the locations comes back when I visit the site, I knew something is not being cleared properly.
This is urgent. Fixes will come next week.
