'Find in page' cannot be closed with Esc if you click outside of it
Steps to reproduce:
- Press Ctrl+F
- Write something there (does not need to exist in the page)
- Left click on the page
- Press Esc
Expected: 'Find in page' box is closed
Actual: 'Find in page' box stays open
Windows 7 64-bit
Vivaldi 1.10.867.46 (Stable channel) (32-bit)
well if the box loses focus obviously the esc is not sensed by the search box, ctrl-f again will make it focus again
Yes, obviously not a bug. Ctrl F should also toggle the Find Toolbar rather than just open it, but we're still waiting for that feature request.
Esc works only if the box has focus which is intended.
Same as in other browsers.
@gwen-dragon Well, my hope for Vivaldi is that it is not just like other browsers - it should be better

Then request a feature.
If you think a feature is useful and missing in Vivaldi, please make a request.
How to make a feature request for Vivaldi
If you think your problem can be solved by a missing feature, please add a request at https://forum.vivaldi.net/category/48/features-requests in the corresponding thread for your browser version.
Add one line in bold as a short title for the feature and 2-3 lines to describe the wanted feature.
