Some extensions in extension bar is randomly sized

  • some times an extension that you can click on in the extension bar the size of the window that pops down is random

  • Confirmed also on Windows 7, sometimes I have to click multiple times the icon of uBlock Origin, PixivKit or ScriptJaeger to get their window visible, it can appear wrong sized, not completely visible or some part of it not filled with correct contents.
This started to happen in latest 1.11 and 1.12 snapshots.
    Here's some examples

  • Yup, it tends to happen also on win10.
Not often as before (1.9 and below), but still happen sometimes on 1.11.

  • Same here on MacOS High Sierra, latest beta. It does this less now, but still there are certain ones that I can't get to work.

  • I wonder what the difference in code to chrome actually is. The size of the extension dropdown is generally controlled by the extension itself. Is it specific extensions that trigger this, or are all vulnerable to this bug?

  • I can tell for sure uBlock Origin, ScriptJaeger and PixivKit are acting weird. My impression is Vivaldi is also limiting the maximum vertical size of the dropdown window.

Thanks in advance for helping us to make Vivaldi better!

  • So it used to be all my popdowns. As of my comment yesterday, it was only doing it on Freezetab (a new Chrome extension - check it out if you need some tab organization! ;)). Today, that one is working okay, too. So at this point I think I'm good. Will let you know via feedback if needed in the future!

  • I'm on osx too, and I never had these issues even on far earlier versions of Vivaldi. Would be interesting to find out on what it really depends.
