Hilight, right-click, "Search for" sometimes opens search result tabs in two Vivaldi open windows
Ubuntu 16.04 and 1.11.917.39
Sometimes when hi-lighting a phrase and then right-click "Search for" (Google default) the search results open a tab in two separate Vivaldi windows (dual monitor): the one that I was highlighting and right-clicking in and a duplicate search result page simultaneously opens in a new tab on a second Vivaldi window that was open on the other monitor. It is not repeatable, but happens somewhat frequently. I have not yet been able to specifically cause it, but will see if I can find any clues. I had not seen this before 917.39 and wondering if others have seen this.

Yes, it was recently discussed here
I'm trying the new 1.12 snapshot and so far I couldn't reproduce it anymore, but it was random anyway. Try yourself if you want, installing the snapshot and see if it stop happening also to you
Thanks. I tried the snapshot and did not see the problem- although it is somewhatunpredictable in frequency. Unfortunately, since the snapshot runs as a separate browser I can't actually switch to it easily and give it a throrough shot since I have many tools that use browser localStorage and I need to just just stick with the stable to get things done. I do plan to both see if I can find a way to trigger the problem on the stable, and also mess with the snapshot a bit more.
It is really no more than a peculiarity and minor nuisance in the stable, and perhaps it is resolved anyway in the next update.
Thanks again, and I will update this topic if I stumble across more information.
Still has the problem in 1.11.917.43

the snapshot runs as a separate browser
Non necessarily, I always overwrite the stable with new snapshots, and viceversa. I only have 1 Vivaldi installed, and it's always the latest update.
Thanks for the "trick" Ian, I will keep that in mind if I hit a serious problem. For now, the stable is, well, "stable" in all the things I really need so I guess I'll sit it out for now.

@internet So glad someone else is having this issue, too. I got confused why there were all these search results of which I thought I had closed allready ;)
To me this happens also when using context sub-menu to search with other search engines and also when both windows are on the same monitor (but with another monitor connected).
