Here are the two schemes I'm currently using:
All that is left for me is to figure out how to change the backward, forwards, refresh button sizes and colors & maybe find a different Home button icon if I can't make it stay aligned in the midsection. Love the customizability of Vivaldi!
-
@zion Your home button just needs the right alignment. Read here: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/20227/changing-icons-with-css-part-ii?page=1

@luetage Thanks! I'll check it out. I'm really enjoying customizing Vivaldi

I love to use GIFs in Speed Dial. https://gfycat.com/WearyFeminineAdamsstaghornedbeetle

I have only used the theme settings, but looking at some of the posts on here we can do much more than just the default adjustments.
These are the themes I created and bounce around depending on my mood and if I am using the scheduled themes.

I found something that looks quite interesting if you deal with custom styles. Using
.speeddial .draggable.dial { -webkit-filter:grayscale(100%) brightness(80%) } .speeddial .draggable.dial:hover { -webkit-filter:grayscale(0%) brightness(100%) }
Gives you speed dials that are grayed out normally but flash into colour when you hover over them, and I find it looks quite nice when you have site logos instead of thumbnails.
That's awesome, just pinched it to add to my nifty shades of grey UI to match my dull desktop theme
-
Is there a documentation for the UI modification?
Or at least the list of these tokens? -
Hey, here's my Vivaldi :
My speed dial needs improvements, but I'm really happy about the color scheme ! I used Blueprints, and changed the background color for #31256c.

@huntardy I strongly suggest preferring standard nomenclature over vendor-specific one.

@anrdaemon That's questionable advice, considering a modification to Vivaldi will always be vendor specific.
-
@luetage I'm pretty sure it uses the same engine throughout the application. There's no reason not to.
-
@anrdaemon Sorry, that's lost on me. When it comes to code I can just about write a macro for an MMO or tweak some LUA.
-
@huntardy They are just implying you can scrape the
-webkit-
part to make it work on all browsers. Which is correct since chrome version 53, but who cares, this is a Vivaldi modification which doesn't work on any other browser. Whatever code works just use, don't worry. -
A chameleon tab bar
Was never a fan of bookmark bar. With the inability to resize speed dial page, I was forced to stick to the bookmark bar for quick links and folders. I cannot leave this now -
