How to manually back up bookmarks

  • I would like to import my current bookmarks from another browser. I presently have a few hundred, so if my new import goes awry, I'd like to have a current backup to bounce back from.

My Vivaldi bookmark backup file is 3 days old. How can I get Vivaldi to make a bookmark backup folder that is current?

  • start, run "%localappdata%\vivaldi\user data\default"
    find the file Bookmarks
    copy it somewhere. done

  • OK, so I'll just copy the bookmarks file that Vivaldi has made, and then manually replace it if I need to nuke my imported bookmarks file.

    Simple. Thanks.
