Add some shortcut key for searching.
e.g. C-n for next-match, C-p for previous-match. -
Wish for improvement of the search in page.
If the searching feature functions differently
from other browser would be Impressed and Perfect.
Advanced search is really a killing feature.
With fuzzy-matching and regex-matching is Excellent.e.g. Basically, like this.
Swiper, a searching extension for Emacs.

Show/Hide tick box for Top Domain sites in History
If you make use of cloud services, e.g. google apps, your history is pretty much dominated by a few sites (docs.google, drive.google etc.). It would be good, in the small "Top domains" panel, to have a tick box next to each site, so that by un-ticking them you could not include all those common places and thus see the more uncommon things you might actually be looking for. -
They already exist: F3 and Shift F3.

@Pesala Nice ,i found it.
-
Ability to sort search engines either by Description and Nickname. With list of 30+ engines, list is mess and it becomes hard to find the right one to edit it when necessary, or to check whats the nickname of page you are looking for...

Hey folks! About my proposal to color tabs edges & stuff, i added few more screenshot at my old post ---> here
-
"Containers" so tabs can optionally use separate local storage for cookies, etc. like Firefox's https://testpilot.firefox.com/experiments/containers/ and like https://ghostbrowser.com/
Handy for power users, especially developers who might want one tab to be a website with them logged in and the next tab to be the same site not logged in.

@sagesheep This is quite tricky to protect against because some of what is fingerprinted is not actually up to the browser. E.g. the screen size. The user agent on the other hand is up to the browser, but it is (for better or worse) necessary in order to inform website that your web browser is actually capable of viewing the site.
It would be interesting to see if some of the less necessary bits could be made more common though, such as the object hashes and reducing the reporting of fonts and plugins installed.
Also, I notice that vivaldi is reporting that I have flash installed, which I do - but I have set it to be blocked on this particular site. I would have expected that a blocked plugin would not be reported.

Support for Speed Dial Thumbnail Packs
Currently, if a user wants to share icons with someone else, they have to upload a zip, and then a user has to manually specify the thumbnails for each and every dial. I would find it more interesting if there was some way of "applying" a speed dial thumbnail pack.
E.g. It's a zip folder, and the thumbnails are named like "vivaldi.net.png" or something similar. Then, when the zip folder is "applied", the speed dial thumbs are automatically set with the associated image.

S'est une très bonne idée mais dans mon pack (tu le connais :)) il y a plusieurs vignettes pour un même site. Il faudrait donc également avoir la possibilité de choisir entre plusieurs possibilité de vignette pour un même site !

Is a good idea but in my pack (you know it :)) there are several thumbnails for the same site. It should therefore also be possible to choose between several possible thumbnails for the same site!

@D0J0P Well I kinda would like to see FF. Chrome, Opera and Vivaldi start to use just 1 site together... But then again FF and Opera has quite the high standard compared to Chrome Ext Store... So dunno.
-
@Rudric What I meant by the post wasn't an extension store for Vivaldi, but a page to manage extensions. Right now, we have Chromium's extension manager page, which is okay, but seeing Vivaldi's take on it would be really great, and it seems a lot of people think so too.
A dedicated extension store for Vivaldi would be cool too.
-
Yeah would be nice if Vivaldi had it's own. It perhaps would improve interest to extension making

For that idea please try Whale Browser http://whale.naver.com/en/
It has it's own App Store for the Sidebar. -
@pdray Mmh this info is just 3 clicks away menu --> help --> about or when you use the english version press "Alt" than "H" than "A".
I mean yes with your suggestion you would save about 5-20 seconds of time but you would trade in some space that could be used otherwise.
But to make it optional can't hurt ; ) -
@Novan-Leon
Ehrm isn't the "Description" option exactly what you are looking for? I just wrote into the description of four random bookmarks of mine hulahoop (to make sure I don't get a false positiv) and I can summon this exact bookmark via the quick comand menu (press "F2") and also via the address bar. -
@zaibon The "Description" field doesn't support tagging functionality, it's just a plain text field. Here's the difference:
First, let's say I add the following text to the "Description" field for the "Yahoo! News" bookmark:
news, politics, entertainment, opinion
If I enter "politics" or "news" into the bookmark search field, this "Yahoo! News" bookmark will show up just fine. However, if I want to search for all bookmarks that include BOTH "politics" and "news", or any other combination of tags, then the search will fail and return zero results unless I search for the exact string used in the bookmark, e.g. "news, politics". This is problematic for obvious reasons. A true tagging system would return all results if I entered "politics news" because it would recognize those tags and return all bookmarks associated with them.
Second, when entering text into the "Description" field, there's no auto-complete to track whether this tag is being used in the system already or not, or speed up tag entry, or correct accidental spelling mistakes. This makes it very difficult to maintain a consistent list of tags across all your bookmarks since you're essentially doing it all by memory.

Can you add function to change new and old icon? Or return old icon? Please!
