Vivaldi 1.11 – Focus on accessibility
-
@Xandher20 All extensions require CPU cycles and RAM. For MY needs as it happens, I am able to run without extensions because I use Vivaldi. You need to do what works best for you.
Of course my view is that if something is fundamental, it should be built in to the browser, and not require add-ons and additional resources. In some respects, Vivaldi aims in that direction as well. Functions, features, options that people need should be built in.
At the same time, work is being done to reduce Vivaldi's resource footprint.

@An_dz I really don't know. I just access the page and it gives me that message whenever I enter it.
Tried everything and YM still doesn't recognize Viv as a supportable browser... OK, I could accept its claim and use the classic mail but, it would be like a time travel to beginnings of the internet, of dial-up time... :confounded: So, no, thanks. I'll stick to FF or Chrome meanwhile.

@Xandher20 said in Vivaldi 1.11 – Focus on accessibility:
if you consume more RAM than Google Chrome, why choose it as an internet browser
Oh wow, logic par excellence!
Says whom that the sole prerequisite for a user choosing a browser is RAM consumption? For goodness sake! Personally i place exceedingly greater weight on functionality, customisability, integrity, privacy, flexibility, aesthetics, & community.

The one bug I've been waiting to be fixed, has yet to be fixed; and it's a small bug  . That bug being, when Show Address Bar is toggled OFF, I can't create a bookmark.
-
Quick Commands are VERY sluggish after the update, disabling "history entries" in settings is a quickfix, though I would like to see this fixed in a future update if possible... :frowning2:
-
Hmm. Updater tells me I'm up-to-date with 1.11, but the About window tells me I'm on 1.10.8...
Bigger issue is http://itunes.apple.com never spawns a download. Had to download Chrome to get the iTunes application to download.

thanks

@CptGuapo I realised I have a testing YM account that I don't even remember why I created it in the first place, but anyway, after resetting the password I logged in and could access the email.
-
this is bad.
I think there should be a survey with a few options.
or a competition had to be organized
-
@artpoetryfiction strangely enought this is a very very old problem...
-
i'm talking about "new" V logo
-
@Labirent Involvement would have been nice. They could have organised a contest, which would have allowed for submitting our own designs ^^
-
very good
-
V for Vivaldi :D
-
Congrats on the new release!
Just one problem: when I open a new tab, the address bar is not automatically activated anymore. That means I have to activate it first by clicking it, before I can start typing the website/search. That's really annoying?! Is that just me or maybe a setting that I don't get?

@luetage
Good idea! Much better than yesterday :relaxed:
-
@Gwen-Dragon
There are no complaints. Everything is fine! Thank you!
Everyone has different tastes. But it would be interesting to conduct a survey.
-
up,up.
-
@an_dz: Damn... so the problem is worse than I thought! No patterns at all!
Anyway, I hope everything could be better soon.

@CptGuapo Try deleting you Yahoo cookies and login again. Maybe something on it.
