100 tabs opened... not be a large amount of open tabs? -
@Ralf-Brinkmann:
I think, the next step should be a visible extension bar or a place, where I can see the extension icons and have access to their settings or can see what they do (like adblocker). I would prefer the upper right corner just beside this long address bar.
A better implantation of this would be the customizable UI of Olde Opera, allowing you to place buttons wherever you want.
The one thing I know is that Chrome's implantation of having ten million extension icons cluttering up the interface without any way of hiding, re-ordering or de-emphasising them is the wrong way to do it.

Reading the news about this browser caused me to shout for joy - I'm a diehard Opera 12.x user but the browser is getting long in the teeth, with more incompatibilities every day, and more nagging by Opera Corps to quote unquote "upgrade" completely to the Chrome Clone. Installing this browser and seeing, right out of the box, the ability to put tabs on the bottom filled me with joy.
In terms of features I'd like to see added, extensions and sync would have to be my top two, followed by better touch screen support (i.e., large targets or ability to customize the size of targets). Customization of the speed dial background would also be welcome.

Opera Presto did it, but with Blink it would be impossible.
Some years ago, we developed a real time monitoring system and we tested all major browsers with 64 (sixty-four) simultaneously open tabs, HTTP basic authentication, 5 seconds refresh interval, text, HTML table and 2 - 5 flash widgets on each page, using HP machines (Intel Dual core, 1 GB RAM, WindowsXP Pro).
Firefox, Chrome and IE all had blocked the computers after a couple of hours due to the poor memory management.
Opera (11) worked fine for the entire testing period (over the weekend) and we used it until last year.
Today no browser exists for such job. -
I want to be able to download streaming video, such as the browser Maxon.

Maybe a button with a pop-up listing of them?

Regarding DownThemAll, I believe you have to ask the developer for that. And as per checking his website, I think we won't be seeing a Chromium version anytime soon. I also use DownThemAll to direct download large files if torrents are not available.
This of course (actually I'm not sure), can be remedied like emulating FireFox add-ons to work with Chromium, like developing a wrapper for it or something.

These are my first 5-minute-look to Vivaldi and I look for them..
1. Smooth Scrolling (seriously, how could you forget that)
2. Hide URL in omnibox should be default
3. Overlay Scollbars should also be default for all tabs
EDIT: After 10-minutes
4. Ability to change the fonts..
5. Hover Zoom on default (it can be the sole reason I use this browser) -
How about
Automatic Page Reload - as in Opera 12.17:

I find it quite useful, actually …

I'd like to second some of the above requests, such as extension icons (wherever it would be most convenient to place them), smooth scrolling, and automatic page reloads. I'd I also like to see:
Paste and go option in the URL bar.
Option to access history from the side panel/option to add items to the side panel.
Option to clear the list of closed tabs accessible from the trash bin icon.
Search suggestions. -
I would like to see good full screen handling in Vivaldi. For example on the right mouse button click there would be appearance of bars and tabs (like in modern IE). Sliding bars also would be agreeable.
Sometimes I don't really understand why tabs and bookmarks have to be different things… I'd like to see opened bookmarks were distinguished (e.g. with color) from others so in this case I won't have to use tabs at all.

- I would like to customize more the speed dial (something like FVD will be the maximum)
- I don't like the corrector but I can't found the deactivate option.
- A cloud synchro á la Chrome / Firefox will be welcome.
- An image saver like the ctrl + click (Maxthon) could be a great feature.
