Filters for Visual Impairment
-
There are several filters such a sepia and B/W available from the <> menu. A bit hidden (as <> typically applies to code/debugging), but very cool! However, I would like the settings for the most common types of color blindness (red-green, but really named other things).
Besides being useful when designing a website that anyone should be able to enjoy, this feature would make a great selling point, especially to us in the academic sector, where we teach accessibility on our web design courses. If possible, I think it would be wise to have them on a submenu called "Color-blindness filters", as there is no other real need for these.
Even better, I think that all filters could be moved from <> to a menu of its own, and have radio buttons instead of checkboxes. Right now, one can check several mutually exclusive filters, which is not good UI.

Windows 10 now has colour filters for three common forms of colour blindness. I think it is a better idea to apply these changes at a system level so that they apply to all programs. There are part of a user's profile.
