Just adding a couple things…

I just downloaded what's offered on the main site, and as I'm using Slackware 14.1 64bit I had to go the extra step to change the rpm to a tarball. No big deal really. It starts up okay, but once started it IS fast. Ugly colors for the time being, but fast. I did get this when it started up:
me@home:~/vivaldi$ [15955:15980:0225/073838:ERROR:logging.h(777)] Failed to call method: org.kde.KWallet.isEnabled: object_path= /modules/kwalletd: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.kde.kwalletd was not provided by any .service files [15955:15980:0225/073838:ERROR:native_backend_kwallet_x.cc(230)] Error contacting kwalletd (isEnabled) [15955:15980:0225/073839:ERROR:logging.h(777)] Failed to call method: org.kde.KWallet.isEnabled: object_path= /modules/kwalletd: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus) [15955:15980:0225/073839:ERROR:native_backend_kwallet_x.cc(230)] Error contacting kwalletd (isEnabled)
After shutting down Vivaldi, I also had to do a Ctrl-c to get back to a normal konsole. I also did a check on how much memory was being used and it blew my mind that it uses three or four times as much as Seamonkey or Firefox! Snapshot attached... You're obviously not using KDE; the fact you don't have the Kwallet password manager is a given. But yes, Chromium-based browsers (Midori, Opera 2x, and Vivaldi) tend to use more RAM than Mozilla-based browsers.

Yes, I am using KDE, but I'd forgotten I always disable that nasty abortion known as 'kwallet'.
When the RAM usage gets down to decent levels, I'll give Vivaldi another shot, as I liked what I saw for what it is so far other than that.
