[tip] Automatic backup vivaldi to the cloud

  • I don't know if you guys are aware of this possibility, but there's a way to backup Vivaldi to your cloud service automatically using @Max SyncUp. Just create a profile scheduling the frequency or when you want the process to happen and choose the Default folder in AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data.

Also, the program has an option to sync folders between cloud and PCs but so far I haven't tried it. Then, maybe, if you set up to synchronize every time at Windows startup and shutdown, you would be able to have the same things in your browser at work and at home. Again, I haven't tested this and thus I don't know if it works.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. If it's not, so sorry.

  • What if I just want bookmarks and speed dial, is it the "Top Sites" file to back up?

@saudiqbal No. You would back up the Bookmarks file. Top sites only contains metadata and images - not actual addresses.
