Hi, I'm Merry Marjie and have been using Vivaldi for several months. I am still encountering a problem signing in to Chrome. When I type in my password, each time I use a number or period (.), Vivaldi jumps to another tab. When I get back and complete the password, it's not recognized and I'm told to sign into Chrome. It seems to be a quirk where the password field will not take anything but letters, but my passwords are all-purpose and contain many characters. If this has been solved, I have no idea where to find the info as your pages are in different languages and seem disorganized.
Thank you very much for any help.
Try and disable single key shortcuts in vivaldi://settings/keyboard/ -- it's probably not the problem you have, but just to make sure. You can also try and copy/paste the password in there. Are you using an external password manager yet?

Were do you have to cant signin to Chrome? On which page?
@luetage Thank you for the reply. Yes, I use an external password manager. I have now unchecked the single key shortcuts, but in trying to sign in to Google Keep on the Vivaldi announcements page (https://vivaldi.com/blog/vivaldi-powers-up-the-start-page-and-adds-docked-dev-tools/?hl=en-us&version=1.10.867.38&os=W10.0.14393), a blank screen comes up with no way to sign in: vivaldi://chrome-signin/?access_point=6&reason=0. Maybe I broke Chrome!
@Gwen-Dragon Thank you for responding. As I said in my reply to luetage, I can no longer get that Chrome login page as the one that comes up when I try to sign into Chrome (vivaldi://chrome-signin/?access_point=6&reason=0) gives me a blank page.
@luetage Your copy/paste password tip worked great! Thank you for something I should have tried but didn't think of! I always appreciate nice people, and you have made my day, will remember your trick next time I encounter a password problem.
