Access to recently used folders missing
-
The "save as"-dialog is missing the icon to access "last used" or "recently used" folders (don't know the correct english wording for this). Yesterday using 1.9 it still worked and the VIvaldi update was my only update today.
Debian MATE 64 bit, Vivaldi 1.10.867.38 (Stable channel) (64-Bit) -
@ghpy Hmmmm - I have never seen such an icon.

Maybe icon is not correct. This is what the "save as" dialog looks like.
There should be "Zuletzt verwendet" (recently used" somewhere. There is in Opera (which uses a different style of dialog) and there was in Vivaldi until yesterday or a few days ago. It is a bit strange because other programs using the same style dialog as Vivaldi don't have "Zuletzt verwendet" either but I am sure Vivaldi did. -

One user2112
actually asking in https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2017/06/opera-beta-46-0-2597-14-update/ (current Opera Beta).Sorry, of course I mean Opera 12 when speaking of Opera.
I am not using the GTK-design, but the one Vivaldi calls "Klassisches Design" (classic design).
Reading this https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=234361#p1245072 makes me think that my memory is right and the change has come with 1.10. The user complains that Chromium (in November 2016 has the recently used dialog while Firefox doesn't. Obviously it depends on the program used whether the access exists or not.

When I asked about GTK3 theme engine, I mean your native Desktop Environment / Window Manager theme engine not Vivaldi theme.Ok, I misunderstood that.
I use MATE 1.16 which partially uses GTK3 as far as I know. This will probably lead to my leaving MATE if 1.18 continues like this. In all the open/save dialogs I see all the hidden stuff and[seems to have changed with a recent update, ctrl+h now works, had given up trying]folders and files are sorted alphabetically[finally found the solution using dconf, no idea why it was changed in the first place] (the hidden ones starting with a dot first, instead of folders before files and hidden files and folders switched off like set in caja). So trying to find something in ~/ is a real nuisance, especially now with "recently used" gone missing.Obviously it depends on the program used whether the access exists or not
You're correct.
Personally, I also make use "Recently used". But as far I can remember, since the change to GTK3; even if "Recently used" was there in menu it's always empty for me.
It still collected, but I think only real Gnome3 applications fetch it.I am sure that Vivaldi 1.9 used it as well and it wasn't empty, at least on my system. I made use of that every day.
