@Pesala said in Feature requests for 1.11:
@Marko-Indaco Try middle-click.
Uh, thank you very much, i was missed this tips
-
@pafflick said in Feature requests for 1.11:
Make the "Close Tab" button always visible (as an option)
On a touch screen, the
:hover
events don't work (for obvious reasons), so closing a tab using an invisible button is quite difficult sometimes...Add an option to make Close button always visible on current tab only.
When using dark themes current tab is not properly highlighted, having same colors as other tabs. -
@Pesala That's awesome! Thank you for that information!
Just curious, is there a way to modify the note title in the note itself instead of having to right-click and rename each time?

Add the option to reorder Typed History, Bookmarks, etc. in Address Bar
It would be really helpful if users could change the order in which results display in the address bar. Currently, Typed History shows before bookmarks, but I'd like bookmarks to show at the very top followed by history and then Typed History.
-
Google search suggestions in the URL field.
Example:
Very handy, I'm addicted really... lol
-
@Regnas For licensing reasons, Vivaldi is not allowed to package this. However, it is a piece of cake to add it to your search engines.
Go to Menu/settings/search and click on the little pencil to edit the Google search engine and add https://www.google.com/complete/search?client=opera&q=%s to the "Suggest URL" box.
Bingo. Search suggestions. For it to work, of course, Google has to be set as your default search engine.
Oh, yeah - at the same location, make sure to enable (if not already enabled) search suggesstions in address field.
-
Thanks for the help...
I tried what you said and it works partially, I mean, the suggestion field appeared but with suggestions completely unrelated to what I'm typing, also it's static, doesn't matter what I'm typing, the unrelated suggestions just stay there without changing..

@Regnas Weird. Here is what I get:
-
@Ayespy I did some research and I found a slightly different url: https://www.google.com/complete/search?client=chrome&q=%s (there's chrome in it) I used that url and now everything is working ok...
Thank you again...
-
@Regnas I see. Are you on a non-Windows platform? That could make a difference.
-
@Ayespy Actually I'm on Windows 10 64bit...
-
@Regnas Hm. Same as me. And yet my shortcut does not work on your machine. Further, I see that your Google Search favicons are different. Wonder if it's a geographic thing... :

FEATURE REQUEST: Built-in Page Translator
Example:
-
Reopen closed tab according to "New Tab Position" setting
My setting:
New Tab Position = After Active Tab.So I also want the reopened tab to obey this setting.
Or please consider adding an option for this. -
@Regnas
That sounds weird, no matter which I use, these all work just fine for me.:https://www.google.com/complete/search?client=firefox&q=%s https://www.google.com/complete/search?client=opera&q=%s https://www.google.com/complete/search?client=chrome&q=%s
Before reading your latest reply I was thinking it might be because you had the option "Only when Using Search Engine Nickname" enabled, and was trying to do the search regardsless.
-
@dinosw I didn't have that "nickname" option enabled.. I don't know what happened but everything is fine now...
-
Add to Desktop Feature like the One in Chrome
The Add to Desktop feature in Chrome is fantastic, and I can see a lot of potential for it's use in Vivaldi as I know Vivaldi could enhance it significantly. There are all sorts of uses for this feature.
-
FEATURE REQUEST: Drag text to the tab bar area to search
When done so, it should open a new tab and do a search with my current selected search engine. Every Chromium browser variant I tried has this feature but Vivaldi.
Example:
Very handy, I use it all the time...
-
Add an option "never" to the dropbox of browsing history saving options or an option to clear all private data when the browser is closed
-
@Pesala Brave on desktop has web torrenting. I think this would be a slick feature for the side panel download manager.
