-Experiment- to move bookmarks editor on bottom

  • (Very experimental code. Be careful)

    .manager .manager-editor {
        position: absolute;
        opacity: 0.95;
        /*bottom: -90px; as I don't use desc/shortcuts in my bookmarks */
        left: 50px;
        right: 50px;
        border: 1px dotted transparent;
    }

    .preview-folder {
        display: none !important;
     }

    I was trying a code to move only the extended bookmark editor at vivaldi://bookmarks on the bottom.
    I'd like to make it disappering - transition, transform, keyframes, maybe..? Sadly I don't know how to do that - when no bookmark is hovered/activated (to save space) and/or reserve space on bottom area.
    But maybe first solution is better and simplier to do.
    Any idea what I can try? :)

  • Double click/middle click the button on top of the editor to show/hide? This way it's only there if you need it. If the whole thing appears on hover you will see it every time you interact with the bookmark manager. That can't be called out of the way.

  • What button is? I really don't see it :)

    However, this is the current status of that script.

  • Vivaldi Translator

    I'm more interest to move that editor to bottom (like Firefox) or top.
    The current position cut the Library view too much plus the fact the column & row not resize able.

  • I'm so confused. What bookmark editor are we talking about, the one in the panel or on the bookmark page? And this picture just made me go a little blind lol.

  • @luetage said in -Experiment- to move bookmarks editor on bottom:

    What bookmark editor are we talking about

    Bookmark editor at vivaldi://bookmark page (not the one in panel)
    The one in the panel, it's already in the bottom, actually :)

    Yes, I know, I have some "brutal" themes to see differences in css mods which changes colours :D

    Known issue: The code above has some problems rendering history infos; consider this code variant below - small box on bottom-right - as a clumsy workaround:

    /* Hide thumbnails in Bookmark Panel & Manager */
    .manager-editor .preview {
        display: none !important;
    }
    .preview-folder {
        display: none !important;
    }

    /* Move bookmark editor/history info to bottom-right */
    .manager .manager-editor {
    	position: absolute;
    	opacity: .8 !important;
    	bottom: 0px;
    	/* left: 50px; */
    	right: 21px;
    	border: 1px dotted transparent;
    }

    /* Workaround for history info */
    .more-info {
    	position: relative;
    	width: auto;
    }

    Known issue: The calendar is a mess with this code
