Keystrokes moving cursor BACK one word in forms (forums)
-
Caveat: I'm not actually sure this is a Vivaldi issue, but it doesn't appear to be happening in Firefox, which I used as a test environment.
Sometimes, and I can't figure out what the rule is, I have a weird effect - if I hit backspace, delete or certain other keys, the cursor moves BACK to the beginning of the previous word. It's very annoying when you're trying to edit text.
It's definitely happening when I'm typing entries in the Windows10 forum (which is what passed the test in Firefox).
I'm writing because it's anything but the first time it's happened. I'll post other places as I come across them.
Does this sound familiar to anybody? Any ideas?

In 1.9.818.50 (Stable channel) (32 бит), installed standalone.

Yes. of course. Any objection to my preserving my default (profile) directory whole? -
@WombatPete As the cause may be in the Default (profile) directory, better to try out a virgin one.

@Ayespy, @Gwen-Dragon , thank you.
I installed the latest standalone and restored the default (profile) folder, in stages. I ended up restoring everything with no problem. It was a good thing, as I cleaned up a bunch of preferences and changed others, it's working beautifully.The problem turned out to be caused by the Grammarly extension.
Thanks for your help!
