I am losing patience

@karlmay A critique also has to be respectful. Let me rewrite your offensive first post for you to show you how to make a constructive critique. Instead of:
I am loosing patience
The privacy and site setting options are nothing like opera, no mail client. Instead a lot of useless gooblediguck.I need improvements to privacy and site settings
The privacy and site setting options are nothing like Opera 12.17, and I know that the email client is being actively developed, but for me that is far more important than graphs that show my browsing history.
I could have made an irrelevant point about your poor spelling of "losing" and "gobbledygook" but that would have been disrespectful. There are many for whom English is not their first language, and others often make typos due to haste or dyslexia.
I therefore merely commented about your impatience, which is the real problem here. Vivaldi is still on version 1.10, and has only been available for a couple of years. Opera 12.17 was developed for over a decade, and other browsers like Chrome have huge development teams.

I don't like the style of language the creator of this thread uses (to YOU: Please just stop all this "hate", "kill", ... bullshit. What is this supposed to do?), but I am also one of those stuck with 12.16 and can understand a bit of the disappointment.
I started to use vivaldi as my secondary browser just about a week ago, and I cannot say that I am fully convinced as it surely has a lot of flaws and can neither replace M2 nor the browsing experience in general with O12 (who knows, if I did not have ECC support for TLS missing on linux, maybe I'd be more resilient sticking with an over 4 years old browser version instead of testing the "new stuff" now). On the other hand I have to admit that vivladi works better than I expected in some regards (although definetly not in respect to performance) and that there are also some good innovations. I am not sure about the fancy history interface (fhi), but I like the idea of marking multiple tabs for grouping (resembling some windows pannel functionality in the tab bar) or closing all tabs to the side of the currently focused one, as well as using nicknames for a broader range of actions. The thing about interface "features" such as fhi is that I do not even like speed dial, which has been one of the main marketing gags for opera for so many years already and I never understand why you would prefer this over a white screen. Shortcuts for bookmarks are fine, but for me that's about it. And yes, privacy enhancements are always a must, but I trusted opera on this (although I never got my GPG for M2 :/) and I think that probably vivaldi has a better focus on this topic than other vendors.
Back to topic: for me it seems that updates are coming steadily. I think that together with otter (hopefully!) and possibly elinks or lynx to some extent, vivaldi will be one of the best browsers in the coming years.

@Pesala said in I am loosing patience:
gobbledygook
FYI, in some locales [eg, mine], it's actually spelled gobbledegook; the perils of "accurate" spelling continue anon, don't they, given geographical variations. However i've never previously come across the OP's spelling; that's rather "innovative"
Also, IMO, non-English first language, & dyslexia, are absolutely legitimate reasons for potential poor spelling &/or grammar as you rightly suggest, however "haste" is not. The latter merely smacks of carelessness, lack of attention to detail, & disrespect for accuracy.
All that's moot though, as none of us can know what was in the mind & background of the writer, only theorise.

I respect your post's expressed opinions, albeit i disagree with most. That difference merely reinforces one of the multiple reasons i adopted V as my default browser in Feb 2015; for me it already long has been the best browser. Much as i loved O12.16 [or 12.17 when i still used Windows], & much as i tried a large number of other browsers in the lean years >O12.x but <V [& rejected them all one by one], V for me [ie, i am not trying to tell anyone else how to think] has already surpassed O12 as an overall browsing package. Yes of course there's still stuff in O12 that V doesn't do, or maybe not do as well, but that list [for me] has rapidly shrunk [& as i said, reached the crossover point as long ago as Feb 2015].
V is hell-bent on delivering flexibility, power & options to its users, & has already travelled far. Stuff that you might legitimately regard as irrelevant fluff, is of value to other users, & doubtless vice versa. Over time though we have ample reason IMO for confidence that many users will find a happy home in V. Nobody [least of all the founders & devs] has claimed that V is "there" yet, which is why i'm frequently bemused reading some critiques which almost imply that V development has now reached its destination, & thus "why the #$&^ does it do a, b, & c, & why can't it do x, y & z?" is sometimes written in anger or even insolent fury [neither, in your case, i hasten to add; i've contemporised here].
BTW, given you mentioned O12, i launched it for old-times' sake & sat it alongside V whilst writing my reply [in V] ... as always, it put a smile on my face again.

Just to add a slightly different perspective... again... Quite frankly, I'm constantly impressed with what Vivaldi has been able to achieve and how fast they've been able to do it. As outsiders, we're not privy to the challenges that the development team has to overcome day after day, but it's not an easy feat. Given that I'm not funding this little endeavour, I don't expect to have any say over its priorities. Nevertheless, I appreciate that we all have a voice and that our opinions are taken into consideration.
Just my thoughts...

@Steffie "disrespect for accuracy". I assume you advocate the IPA for spelling, then?)

There is not much to be gained by continuing this discussion. The OP left a year ago.
