Close Icon missing {was: [Bug Report] Vivaldi …}

  • As I cannot find the total bug report thread, I build this thread.

    //MODEDIT: Changed title

  • Hi, there is no official thread but a template.

    Cheers, mib

    My vivaldi has the tab bar on the left side.
    Then I constructed a new tab, and move the mouse pointer
    to the tab? on the left tab bar.
    But, the close icon of the tab dose not appear on the tab.
    Then, as move the pointer to other tabs, and return the tab,
    the close icon appears.
    It is bug.
    Moreover, the bug does not exist on the previous version.

    @rindou: The forum is to post issues, look for verification and/or help, make suggestions, discuss solutions and ideas. Once, especially through verification on the forums, it's clear that you have found a bug in the browser (rather than a glitch in your machine, a user mistake, or something like a malformed extension), then the next thing you want to do is go to the page where bugs are formally reported and File a Bug Report. We don't file bug reports here, and do not have a topic for filing bug reports.

  • @rindou Hi! Did you report this bug on official bug report page? I have this same issue and I don't want to report it if you did. Actually this is an old bug, I found it in all versions.

    I changed the thread title.

    You may discuss one bug in a own thread, but it is not recommended to post all bugs in one thread.
    And we will not have a single Bug Thread as users tend to post all bug there and that could result into a big mess.

    I you think something is missing in browser, please make a feature request.

    How to make a feature request for Vivaldi
    If you think your problem can be solved by a missing feature, please add a request at in the corresponding thread for your browser version.

    If you found a bug, please report the issue to the developers to fix it.

    How to do a bugreport for Vivaldi
    Report every bug seperately at
    Describe the issue as precise as you can.
    If you use any extensions please give information which ones you use.
    If you have a URL or a own testpage which can checked, add it to the bugreport.
    If you have own testcase files (HTML, CSS, JS etc.) add them to the confirmation mail you get after report.
    If you have a screenrecording video, you can attach it to give the developers a hint how this might happen or look like.
    You will get a bug confirmation mail and in a reply to this mail you can add more information and files as attachments for the testers and bug tracking team.

    Thanks in advance for helping us to make Vivaldi better!

  • @Gwen-Dragon How can I be sure that my bug report is not another report of an existing and reported bug? Developers will handle duplicate reports?

    How can I be sure that my bug report is not another report of an existing and reported bug?

    You cant be sure.

    Developers will handle duplicate reports?

    Marking them as duplicate of the already existing bug and this will shown in dupes list of the existing bug.
    You see, your report is not lost.

    Getting more reports may increase the importance of a bug and that may force the devs to fix it.
