Minor update to Vivaldi 1.8
-
@BradyBunchFan: I have four different versions of Vivaldi on my system at the moment. If you install one (lets say Stable) by the installer's default settings and you want to also have a different one, then you click on "advanced" on the installer when installing that other one, and choose "standalone" and then choose a folder location other than the default one. A pretty safe standalone location would be user/appdata/local/VivaldiSA. (that last part is a made-up name for a StandAlone folder. You could also call it VivaldiSS (for SnapShot) or Vivaldi1, or PickledHerring. Whatever appeals to you. You could even install it on the root C: drive or any other drive in the computer. Once you are installing standalone, the location is fairly unimportant.
NOW - once you have both a Stable and a Snapshot version installed in different locations, they will each auto-update independent of each other, the Stable always updating to Stable builds, and the Snapshot always updating to Snapshot builds.

My problem with the latest update is anchors. None of my bookmarks with anchored links are working now

Well, forget that. Most of them have started working again this morning. Weird!

If you're still struggling with logging in on the forums/blog, make sure you're not blocking 3rd party cookies or whitelist Vivaldi domains.

please fix the regression with autocomplete always favouring bookmarks. it's been broken since 1.8 and it's driving me absolutely mad.
