Feature requests for 1.9 / 1.10
-
The ability to use a keyboard shortcut to open a saved tab session.
-
@Pesala Agreed! I'd like to add some simple shortcuts to the toolbar- like a printer button for a handicapped friend who can't read the small context menu print like she used to. I also want my "fit to width" button back. Heck, I want to change ALL the toolbar buttons to customize my browser. The less this thing looks like Chrome, the better.

@gaelle
"fuller1754 Option for auto-generated Speed Dial shortcuts based on usage frequency."And/or the most recent web pages you've opened. Usually the last page I was on is the one I want to add to Speed Dial.

@paecificjr
Go to
Settings --> Keyboard --> open the section "Page" --> scroll to the entry "Open Saved Session" --> assign a shortcut -
open new Tab improvements
- Command add new Tab as last Tab in Tabbar -> left click on +Symbol
- Command add new Tab near to active Tab -> middle click on +Symbol
like in Firefox

@jacekn I'm guessing you should use a download manager

Capture Page as PDF
It would be very useful if it was possible to save a web page as PDF the same way we can do now as PNG or JPG. This would be great when we want to "download" a tutorial or some instructions about anything.
-
@iayestaran It would be duplication of effort. Just print to a PDF Printer driver.

Re: Feature requests for 1.9 / 1.10
Show the image filename next to "Open Image" in parentheses, just like in Opera 12.
-
@Pesala I just found out that if we go to File>Print, there is an option "Save as PDF" that makes exactly what I am looking for. I guess that is a feature coming from Chrome. So wouldn't it be possible make a new option in the "Capture Page" menu which simply shortcuts to File>Print>SaveAsPDF? No need to re-write code, just make a shortcut so that all the "Capture" options are centralized in one place.
-
Option to set the address field auto-completion suggest the most recently typed addresses first
Again, like in Opera 12. I don't know what logic it uses currently - most visited in history?
-
GIFs playing from beginning when scrolled to
Let's say you have a longish page with one or more animated GIFs. In most browsers they continue looping even when off-screen, but it'd be nice if they start when visible. Yet another minor Opera 12 feature I liked.
-
@Pesala @Maniastern like for both
-
An option to make more transparent the Speed Dial folders/items to see better the background wallpaper
-
Use CTRL-1, 2, 3, ... to open speed dial
Like what Opera 12 does.
-
more colors in the Reading mode
-
Keyboard shortcuts for Speed Dial items.
-
Rearrange Web Panel Icons
-
I think it'd be nice if any drop down menus, such as the Vivaldi button and bookmark folders, would close on second click.
