Feature requests for 1.9 / 1.10

Improve cookie management
- Creating a folder structure with an ability to create subfolders with unlimited nesting levels count
- Editing cookies (date, duration and a private comment to the change are included)
- Search cookie by domain, subdomain, domain + subdomains, any subdomains of the choosen domain, date, duration with an ability to combine all these filters
- Search in folder(s) with an ability to choose folders from different nesting levels and tree branchs
- Mass deleting of choosen cookies
- An ability to disallow all cookies for some domains/disallow some cookies by an example for domains or global
- Custom ordering and ordering by date, duration, cookies count for domain + subdomains
- A button "allow/temporary allow cookies for the domain/domain + subdomains" when all cookies are blocked by default and the same button to disallow the same items when cookies are allowed by default. It would be very nice to add this item into the Chromium's menu of site settings (screenshot) if it's possible. I'm tired of opening an additional settings tab, then opening a cookie settings popup and writing a rule only to allow cookies for sites blocking users who doesn't allow it.
-
An ability to unload one or all Web Panels.
It will help not only with web serfing speed but also with cookies. There is an option to allow cookie until the user will leave the site, in the Chromium's settings, so it doesn't work for Web Panels.

The tab's thumbnails only capture the first screen. They should be updated at each changing tab or every time you hover over the tab.
And likewise also some form of signaling the download is complete. Please, if you'll implement this, do it optional. Please, please, please. I don't like thumbnails updations at all and I started to afraid it more after I setted custom thumbnails for SD bookmarks. And disable a signal by default, please.
-
@wayrus,
- editing bookmark name when adding it in the Speed Dial
- adding custom favicon (sometimes it's really useful, some sites have bad favicons or badly recognizable favicons or haven't favicons at all)
- an ability to disallow favicons unload for all bookmarks or for some bookmarks and folders
-
@Maniastern this is remembering me too the SD extensions.
-
People making their own themes for themselves (I don't know if it's already there)
-
@mattea At least "Search Google for Image" is already in the rightclick menu which uses the search from images.google.com but as far as I read rightclick menu customisation will come so some day you can add searchengines as you like.
-
@supermariokr2003 It is already there.
Go to:
Settings --> Themes --> select a theme that basically has a colourset you like --> click on the pencil below --> create your own theme --> give it a new name --> hit "Save"

Scrolling between tabs should be a simple action — just move to the top and scroll.
Since you can only scroll when over a tab, you have to remember to aim to the left when there aren't many tabs open. This isn't too bad, but with windows snapped to the side or an upper quadrant you also have to move slightly down so you're not over the border. This changes the action to aiming at a narrow strip.
The desktop variant of UC Browser solves both issues by letting you scroll anywhere in the tab bar, including the window border. Works great; I never have to look or aim. Should be an easy tweak for Vivaldi.
-
@Kallestofeles Right-click, open in background tab is already available.
-
@sjudenim I use this and more CSS codes for others customizations. But it's annoying to have to add the code every time I update. It would be more interesting, for everyone, to be implemented in Vivaldi.

[Suggestion] Showing mouse gesture
I would love to see the gesture I am making. Somehow it feels weird if I not see the trail I make.
I am used to firegestures of Firefox but using Vivaldi a year now but I still miss it. I hope we can get a visual feedback of the trail.
+1. It's keeping me going back to Firefox!

You know how, if you have a file in Windows Explorer and you right click it, depending on what antivirus software you use, there is an option to scan that file? Is it possible to have that in the Downloads Tab?

Implementing left side tab bar (http://cs1.imwox.com/o/32/79/3279e1d4c83720ed7e4b99f98b26feb1.png) scroll wheel scrolling instead of tab switching as alternate setting. (VB-28400)

@GBB We can do it better!

@S4dPanda settings > tabs > tab features > tab cycling > uncheck "switch tabs by scrolling"

Please implement the link panel again - I am waiting for this.

@Tiamarth This way right click+mouse wheel doesn't work. So i still request this feature

@Pesala: So is Jon. He entered it as a bug a couple of years ago.
