No sound on soundcloud and bandcamp
-
Hi,
I'm on linux Mint xfce 17.3
Soundcloud and bandcamp do not play music at all.
I've tried using both the adobe flash pluggin , or uninstalling adobe and installing Chrome, where now Vivaldi uses: google-chrome/PepperFlash/24.0.0.194/libpepflashplayer.so
In Chrome both pages play music without a problem, but not in Vivaldi.
Another strange thing is that Bandcamp sometimes plays a song if it is embedded e.g. in Facebook
Any ideas ?
Thanks

@astral Soundcloud (homepage - I don't have an account) works fine for me on Linux Mint 18.1 KDE.
Perhaps you are missing some codecs?
See https://gist.github.com/ruario/bec42d156d30affef655Also check video-playback-problems for more codec info.

@astral
Soundcloud uses flash. Allow flash in addressbar dropdown.
Bandcamp will use flash or mp3 browser playback.HOW TO GET FLASH AND H.264 TO WORK IN VIVALDI BROWSER (UBUNTU, LINUX MINT)
Also try the enabling the flag
chrome://flags/#prefer-html-over-flash

@CantankRus
Indeed allowing flash from the site info in the address bar for both pages did the trick!Thank you very much!

@astral
To always allow flash globally, click on "Site Settings" at the bottom of the dropdown or gotovivaldi://chrome/settings/content
and scroll down to Flash. -
@astral Install chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra and restart vivaldi
